A global leader in animal feed/nutrition products has a Strategic Marketing Manager (B2B) job for a talented candidate to join the team in Malaysia and focus on developing their Aquaculture Nutrition business.

About The Strategic Marketing Manager (B2B) Role

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead the development and implementation of Malaysia’s and Indonesia’s Aquaculture Nutrition business strategy and strategic marketing plans based on customer segmentation, with customer intimacy as a key value proposition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans for customer opportunities identified in the strategy work and drive the business strategy development focusing on where to play, how to win, M&A and capabilities to meet business growth targets in line with global strategy
  • Account for developing and implementing country go-to-market plan that includes species/product portfolio strategy and innovation (new product service solution)
  • Partner with the sales team to lead customer segmentation and incorporation into daily business activities, identify customer unmet needs and develop offerings to increase customer intimacy
  • Look after the product portfolio (SKUs, value proposition, pricing strategy) to increase profitability and business results
  • Look after the new product service solution development process and pipeline through strong collaboration with Commercial, Operations, and Technology teams
  • Account for key project deliverables, launch plan (7Ps) and its financial results
  • Lead the tactical marketing plans for the business with respect to developing the offering defined in strategic marketing plans (7P) while closely partnering with technology teams as well as commercial teams across the region to deliver the financial results
  • Develop tactical marketing capabilities and manage marketing budget and spending efficiency
  • Lead and oversee the team developing the right communication tools to drive the marketing strategy (Video, digital, trade show, press, etc.) and manage the budget
  • Build market intelligent system for industry, customer and competitor info, collaborating with sales team and develop perspective in market trend changes

To succeed in this Strategic Marketing Manager (B2B) role, you must be passionate or interested in the Aquaculture Nutrition business, be agile to capture opportunities, have the ability to move between strategy and tactical execution and have a proven track record influencing business performance, marketing and strategy areas.

Job Requirements

Key Requirements
  • Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Business Administration, or Marketing
  • Minimum of eight years' working experience. Minimum of three years strategic/tactical marketing experience, developing a go to market strategy, leveraging customer insight
  • Experience working with technical teams on product innovation and solutions
  • Experience with operating a business model based on customer intimacy with a food technology and marketing focus
  • Experience and proven success in strategic marketing expertise, along with leading strategic projects to impact the business financial results
  • Experience in fiduciary responsibility, including budgets, expenses, or pricing
  • Ability to communicate well in English (written, verbal)
  • Strong business acumen
  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate, influence and lead change
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a matrix organisation
  • Ability to work in cross-cultural environment
  • Highly organised, self-starter able to set and follow priorities and manage multiple projects
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
