Direct reports: None

Territory: South-East Asia

Travel requirement: 20%

Job Purpose

With the fast expansion of its Biosystems business Leica South East-Asia is looking for an experienced FSE who will be responsible for the customer service in the SEA region. The SEA FSE will be in charge of delivering excellent customer support & servicing on leading edge software products to our e-learning, academic research, pharmaceutical, & clinical diagnostic customers in South-East Asia. The FSE will provide technical support either on site or via ‘phone, email and Webex for customers and distributors using leading-edge digital pathology products, as well as our core histology range. The FSE will coordinate the regional training programs for distributors & implementing corporate processes by working closely with the various manufacturing sites worldwide. This position allows for advancement within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities and Authorities

  • Responsible for providing outstanding customer service in a prompt and efficient manner
  • Service Histology and Pathology Imaging systems such as slide scanner and cytogenetics hardware platforms and software
  • Develop extensive and sound product knowledge in order to provide timely and accurate support to our customers
  • Provide customer support & training to both new and existing customers both on site and via webinar
  • Represent Leica Biosystems in professional manner while building relationships with installed base
  • Identify potential business development opportunities with existing customers and refer to sales team
  • Responsible for performing tasks in a compliant manner in line with the requirements of the quality management system
  • Track open customer issues, communicate status to customers.
  • Liaise closely with IT team members to deliver technical solutions to issues, plus with internal & external parties when needed
  • Other duties as required

Job Requirements

The jobholder should possess the skills set out below to meet the requirements of the role:


  • 2+ years experience providing technical support for systems with software and hardware components
  • Field based troubleshooting experience, preferably in the medical field
  • Experience with installation and technical support for Windows-based software products.
  • Experience supporting products with TCP/IP networking components in a Windows environment.
  • Experience in interfacing LIS systems
  • Experience of delivering training to end users
  • Experience with case management & image analysis software considered a strong asset
  • Experience with web based software or other databases considered a strong asset
  • Bachelor Degree in engineering or IT; Diploma with longer experience can be considered
