Be primarily responsible for ensuring a smooth operation in the Sales & Marketing Department.
To assist the Director of Sales in coping with both long and short term sales objectives as defined by the management.

Tasks
Assist the Director of Sales in compiling the annual marketing plan and budget.
Maximize room sales, room revenue, food and beverage business to ensure that target and sales objective are being met.
Meet all set objectives and sales target laid down by the Director of Sales in Agency Product Training and generating room nights
Establish a beneficial relation with our clients, build brick wall around our major accounts and try to turn prospect accounts to become our major accounts, to manage a minimum of 20 accounts.
Handle all daily matters relating to Travel Agent operation both local and overseas. Control / Follow-up all customer record systems - sales lead to ensure efficient and effective customer account service.
Check daily sales report and the effectiveness of job function assigned to each sales staff member when completed.
Control clients name list, file and trace file to ensure it is updated by the respective sales personnel
Follow-up on all sales lead and future bookings closely.
Increase customer contact surface.
Conduct inspection trip and entertain regular, potential clients and their visiting VIPs both local and overseas.
Immediately attend to all complaints and take immediate action where possible.
Ensure T.A, T.O conducted FAM trips and all DMC and tour operators are invited for FAM trips for resorts updated.
Keep the Director of Sales informed of the market intelligence and any competitive information. Advise Director of Sales of relevant events, i.e. new appointment-promotion-transfer-anniversary-birthday of Executive etc. in order that congratulation card can be sent.
Monitor the production of all tour operators, travel agents and airlines.
Plan promotional parties for major accounts which give us constant and consistent support, and suggest giveaway items when required.
Provide technical training of hotel product knowledge to sales staff
Make recommendations to the Director of Sales, designed to achieve all sales goals to meet competition, to streamline the administration and in-house servicing.
Undertake all other duties which may from time to time be delegated by the Director of Sales in attending or organizing travel events, trade shows, sales trip to targeted markets and representing hotel in overseas Travel industries.
Undertake - Responsible - Act as a deputy to the Director of Sales during his/her absence and attend all promotional function organized by the Management.
Job Requirements
Degree in Marketing/Sales
A Postgraduate degree in Marketing or an MBA
The job incumbent shall have a high level of expertise and experience in his/her field, good technical knowledge of Sales, together with strong people management and interpersonal skills
Excellent knowledge of European and International markets
Excellent analytical skills
Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
Ability to come up with effective and innovative sales strategies
Ability to develop, plan and implement short to long term goals
Ability to maintain high standards of corporate governance principles
Experience in management of key international accounts for a specific segment / resort / market for 2 years
International experience is an essential prerequisite.
