Job Description

  • Manage the overall marketing strategy, planning, budget, staff, execution and success for the Water/WasteWater/Mechanical& Engineering portfolio of exhibitions under UBM Malaysia

  • Develop advanced knowledge and understanding of the industry as to provide better marketing content and strategy for promotions

  • Create and improve new methods of one-to-many and many-to-many forms of communication as to reach new audiences and engage existing

  • Liaise with internal teams including sales, operations, creative, IT (Database), as well direct marketing reports in order to achieve overall group goals and deliverables

  • Champion the key visitor and exhibitor marketing promotions including website (content marketing), email marketing, social media marketing, print direct mail, and other forms of digital and direct marketing

  • Oversee production of communication plans including PR work, press and related events, and developing relationships with local and international media partners, press and industry associations

  • Develop and manage all exhibition related onsite special events and activities such as awards, conferences/seminars, and VIP gatherings

  • Periodically review marketing promotions and metric reports for continuous improvement in marketing strategy

  • Manage and develop direct reports as to further increase marketing efficiency and sophistication while also encouraging innovation and positive work environments

Job Requirements

  • University graduate in Business Studies, Marketing, Communications or related disciplines

  • Min of 5 years of B2B marketing, marketing communications or customer relationship management experience

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of direct and online forms of marketing including but not limited to email marketing, content marketing, social media marketing, print marketing, advertising, and public relations

  • Excellent presentation and business writing and copy writing skills. Candidates are expected to assist project teams in creating content marketing materials in English and Malay as well as critique and correct marketing promotional collateral and press releases.

  • Data driven expertise in analyzing marketing performance and setting benchmarks

  • Strong leadership and communication skills from communicating with department heads, cross-functional teams, to supervising and inspiring direct reports

  • Candidates with experience within B2B trade exhibitions industries will have an additional advantage
