Reporting to the Marketing Director, and managing a team of 6, the Marketing Activation Manager is responsible the activation of the full portfolio of company brands in outlet – both On-Trade and Off-Trade.
Working closely with brand teams and the sales departments, the Marketing Activation Manager will ensure that the brands’ activities are executed with creative flair, quality, and consistency and will ensure that our marketing activations are compelling for both consumers and customers.
Provide leadership and direction for in-store brand merchandising strategy and activation. Ensure merchandising is delivered with excellence and is cost effective.
Provide leadership and direction for events management. Ensure that events are delivered with excellence and achieve objective for both brand building, customer support, and sales driving.
Be the key interface between marketing and sales departments. Develop a strong understanding of customers’ needs and ensure that marketing activities are fitting with these.
Ensure that brand events maximise PR return and provide the PR team with strong PR content.
Promote education and brand knowledge amongst the Pernod Ricard business, and ensure that our staff, including promotional teams in On-Trade and Off-Trade are actively educating and mentoring our customers and consumers. Ensure that all staff represent our brands in outlet with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Spearhead new initiatives to engage with High Net Worth Individuals in building the Prestige brand portfolio.
Represent the needs of brand activation in key brand and agency meetings. Ensure that new creative platforms are relevant and can be implemented with excellence.
Represent marketing activation in monthly sales and marketing planning meetings.
Maintain a close view on market and competitor developments. Be the expert on new trends in outlet for both Off Trade and On-Trade.
Understand how channels can best support brand objectives and communicates clear channel guidelines, translates brand benefits and updates on consumer insights to trade marketing.
An individual with an outgoing personality, highly sociable, confident, with a sense of style
Marketing experience in a high profile leading consumer goods company – minimum 9 years
Strong experience of events management and customer marketing
Gravitas and maturity, with strong interpersonal skills
Interest in spirits and design
Good English language skills
Experience of the drinks industry and the On-Trade is an advantage but not essential
