Job Description
- Act as department head to assist CAO to oversee and manage claims functions
- Proper resources allocation to ensure meeting of various team targets and objectives
- Ensure and introduce proper control procedures for risk management
- Enhance team efficiency and effectiveness by streamlining workflow and improving processes
- Resolve complicated complaints and work out immediate and long term remedial actions (if applicable)
- Conduct regular audit on claims assessment in the team as quality control and take appropriate improvement actions if necessary
- Develop team members for delivery of professional claims services to the customers
- Conduct regular market intelligence and introduce service enhancements to increase competitiveness in the market
- Provide professional advices to support product development
- Analyze claims statistics and produce management reports
- Lead projects to support company strategies and initiatives
Job Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ underwriting experience in life/health insurance industry.
- Medical authority with Extra Mortality 200% or above
- Previous managerial/supervisory experience required
- Hands on PC skills in using MS Word (English and Chinese) and Excel
- Preferred: Project management skill, knowledge of administration system.
- Preferred: to hold life insurance professional qualification. E.g. LOMA, ICA, etc.
