Are you familiar with the industry? Do you have a network? Do you like to travel in Asia? For our German Client we are looking for an ambitious sales talent with profound experience in the Garment Industry. Our Client is a leading international company specialized in designing, manufacturing and selling investment goods for the Garment Industry. For over 50 years, the Client provides ironing equipment, fusing machines, pressing machines and refinishing equipment for world-famous brands in the international garment industry.

Our Client is headquartered in Germany and has subsidiaries with manufacturing plants and sales offices all over the world. In order to strengthen their team, the Client seeks to appoint a dynamic and self-motivated Asia Sales Manager, most likely located in Hong Kong.

General responsibilities of the position:

  • Sales leadership in order to support train and supervise the country managers and subsidiaries in Hong Kong, China and various Asian countries

  • Responsible for the Marketing and Sales of garment manufacturing systems and equipment in the Asia Pacific region via direct and indirect sales strategies

  • Set-up a network of agents and distributors

  • Expand the business in the Garment Industry

  • Constantly seek new opportunities in the developing markets

  • Define and implement the individual sales strategies for each country

  • Intensive market research and price finding for each country

  • Observe competitors and give valuable input to product development

  • Motivate the sales team to increase their level of sales

  • Lead the Asia sales team, recruit and retain high potential staff

  • Interface and bridging function between different regions

Job Requirements

  • University degree in Business Administration or Engineering

  • > 8 years working experience in sales + min. 3 years of management experience

  • Sales experience is a must, Marketing experience a plus

  • Demonstrated positive results in sales

  • Working experience in an multinational company or abroad required

  • Willing to accept and manage new challenges, ready to take risks

  • Independent working style, high motivation and initiative

  • High willingness to travel (70% international travel required)

  • Ideally Asian talent, Singaporean and Hong Kongnese preferred.

  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin

  • Sensitive for different cultures, high acceptance

  • Team-player with a warm and outgoing personality, open and honest

Reporting, Subordinates and Other Relationships:

  • Reports to the Asia Regional Director and Group President

  • Initial training in Germany and Asia

  • Lead the sales teams in Asia (currently around 15 staff), recruiting of new staff required
