Engagement Management: Makes the necessary planning required for the accomplishment of the engagement and discusses the same with the engagement team; Suggests appropriate solutions to tax planning and risk issues, keeps client and team members informed of issues; Deals with relevant government agencies/offices, as necessary; Takes control of the engagement, knowing at all times what progress has been made with regards to the work plan.
Client Relations: Stays abreast of new tax developments and understands their links to and impact on the business of the client; Develops and maintains favorable relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels.
Team management and Mentoring: Keeps the team focused on achieving objectives and promotes efficient work flow by constantly communicating information and updates relevant to the engagement; Provides timely performance reviews and gives specific and balanced feedback; Communicates comprehensive expectations and gives people the authority and latitude to act.
Administrative Functions: Acts as program leader in various in-house trainings and workshops; Effectively takes charge of billing clients and following up payments.
Academic Credentials: Bachelorís in Accountancy and/or Laws
Professional Credentials: Certified Public Accountant or Lawyer, or other relevant profession
Work Experience: At least six years of experience in taxation
Personal Qualities: Well-developed communication and interpersonalskills; sound administrative and organizational skills; and good leadership qualities.
