Job Description


  • Manage Human Resources (30 people) in order to achieve the company’s goals

  • Accounting and finance with the General Manager

  • Follow up relationships with government and local authorities

  • Act as focal point for the company in Sayaboury;

  • Manage the Center’s site effectively

  • Fulfill company administrative and financial obligations as requested by the law

  • Produce a weekly report to the General Manager including progress report and staff work plan for the following week

  • Set and manage monthly operating budget and maintaining monthly financial records

  • Managing work schedules, annual/sick leaves and disciplinary matters for site staff

  • Develop operations procedures to achieve company standard

  • Develop and improve tourism services provided on site

  • Ensure that all staff and all elements of the sanctuary are running and fully functional when visitors arrive (restaurant, accommodation, elephants and sanitation...)

  • Ensure that security and safety procedures enforced on the site (workplace health and safety, the personal safety of all staff and visitors, prevention of fire hazards, thefts and prevention of poaching risks for elephants).

Job Requirements


  • Proven experience in managing a business in Lao PDR, preferably in the tourism sector

  • Degree in tourism, business, conservation, agriculture & forestry or related fields

  • Strong leadership, management and organizational skills

  • Proven experience in managing and training staff

  • Proven experience in following up work with Lao authorities (Taxes, Labour…)

  • Proven experience in administration (accounting, business management…)

  • Good communication & interpersonal skills

  • Computer literacy. Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel…)

  • Knowledge of written & spoken English

  • Friendly, flexible, reliable and punctual


The candidate shall be willing to work and be based full time in Sayaboury in a rural and remote area, in a cross-cultural environment.
