Job Description

  • Developing new products and services that are in high demand by the clients of ECCIL and contributing significantly to the income generation of the chamber.
  • Identifying, realizing and protecting strategic advantages regarding service provisions and sales of ECCIL.
  • Identifying trends and trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements. Providing information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Identifying and proposing potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering opportunities; estimating partners' needs.
  • Achieving marketing and sales objectives by forecasting requirements; giving recommendations to strategic plans; planning, implementing and monitoring action plans, budgets and promotion programmes; resolving problems; recommending and implementing system improvements and corrective actions.
  • Determining annual and gross-profit plans by forecasting and developing sales; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products; analyzing trends and results; establishing pricing strategies; monitoring costs, competition, supply, and demand.
  • Improving product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving service; coordinating new product and service development.
  • Liaison with key accounts from the business and the donor community; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.
  • Writing concept notes, proposals and reports for the management, clients and donors of ECCIL

Job Requirements

  • University degree in economics, marketing, business administration or equivalent
  • At least 7 years relevant professional experience
  • Professional experience in Asia, preferably also in Laos
  • Proven experience in negotiations and transactions with companies and donors
  • Business fluent in English; knowledge of Lao and French are an asset
  • Computer literate
  • Good communication and networking skills
  • Pro-active, professional working attitude; able to think “out-of-the-box”
  • Self-motivating, reliable, able to meet tight deadlines and to work in an international team of highly motivated professionals.
