Job Description

A leading retail company is looking for a Retail Manager in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to join them in their team.

This organisation in the fashion retail industry has a global presence in brand guardianship, distribution, marketing and vertical retail activities. Their primary focus is on footwear, apparel/ fashion and accessories. The company has a long-standing presence here in Malaysia and in line with their growth plans; an exciting opportunity has been created for a Retail Manager to lead their business.

Reporting to Commercial Manager, you will manage day-to-day operations of all retail stores and provide effective support in the planning and execution of retail operation strategies to achieve budgeted revenue and profit performances.

Key Responsibilities

  • develop and execute retail door development plan with guidance from Commercial Manager

  • work closely with marketing team to drive promotional plans and stock planning to achieve budgeted revenue

  • involved in monthly forecasting and target setting and annual budgeting

  • lead the retail business by participating in retail door strategies, drive retail excellence through model store standards and mystery shopping results

  • execute, reinforce and maintain all visual presentations, fixture plans, space plans and promotional strategies on the selling floors in support of corporate retail strategies

  • provide local market insights that influence buying trend and behavior to maximize buying behaviour

  • elevate team by providing guidance, regular coaching and to motivate our retail staff on selling skills, visual standards, product feature and benefits, loyalty program

Job Requirements

  • degree/ diploma qualifications with at least five years’ retail operation experiences in large departmental/specialty stores’ environment

  • proven abilities in staff management, inventory controls, merchandising and revenue analysis within consumer retail trade

  • demonstrated effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the highest degree of professionalism

  • demonstrate strong leadership and people development background

  • ability to communicate well and work well in a teamwork based environment
