Job Description

Our client, a US MNC, is a global, diversified consumer products company and they are looking for a dynamic individual to join them as Regional Supply Chain Manager. 

Demand Planning & S&OP (Sales & Operation Planning):
  • Provide leadership and support to the team in the markets
  • Drive Demand Plan process regularly within S&OP cycle and promote
  • Standardise forecast accuracy metrics & YOY drive improvements to exceed customer expectations
  • Responsible for consolidating sales forecasts as an input to S&OPprocesses.
  • Works closely with Product and Channel Marketing on planning new product introduction, customer mix reset management, product packaging changes and/or SKU rationalization.
  • Help identifying/resolving supply & demand issues affecting maximized inventory investment
  • Track and report performance metrics including forecast accuracy, service levels (Fill rate and leadtime), billing accuracy, and inventory ($ and DSI).
  • Works with Global team, Sourcing, Supply and/or Sources to quickly resolve issues when demand exceeds allocation or when there are long term supplier capacity constraints.
  • Highlight potential demand or supply plan issues based on visible demand plan and general understanding of the supply plan in a timely and professional manner.
  • Providing real time fill rate/lead time reporting and tracking orders to ensure vendor compliance.
  • Identifying problem SKU's and proactively communicating issues with corrective actions.
  • Work with customer service, DCs, and Sourcing to monitors orders to ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Works with global supply & sourcing to expedite orders when necessary and/or reimburse air freight.
  • Ability to manage a high number of SKUs and significant dollar volume.
Supply Planning & Inventory Management:
  • Provide leadership and support to the team in the markets.
  • Work with Asia supply planners to get clarity on capacity plans for suppliers. Escalates issues when required and/or capacity needs are not met.
  • Assure that each marketís forecast is shared with suppliers and updates on significant demand changes (product updates, promos, discontinuances, rework, etc).
  • Assure that each marketís is properly managing Minimum Order Quantity (MOQís), Safety Stocks, leadtimes, and all parameters in planning systems.
  • Establishes & executes action plan to achieve monthly and quarterly inventory goals. Responsible for total region inventory at all DCs (China, AUZ, SEA + locations across different countries).
  • Accountable for Inventory Turns, Fill Rates, Excess & Obsolete, Lead Times, SKU Management, New Product Introduction, Vendor
  • Assists planners in managing supply plan to meet inventory targets & positive SKU health.
  • Supports the management of finished goods inventories and key performance improvement initiatives in each market.
Customer Service Management:
  • Provide leadership and support to the team in the markets.
  • High levels of business knowledge and Export Compliance activities are expected as well as clarity and knowledge of export regulations and need to be up to date on procedures for delivering goods both nationally and internationally.
  • Monitors delivery performance and other key customer service measures and provide monthly report card information; resourceful in developing (champion) new reports.
  • Supports marketing promotions by communicating with the marketing organization and ensuring the accurate entry of special pricing. May also respond to customer requests for marketing information.

Job Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Related; an MBA is a plus.
  • APICS CPIM certification, CSCP is a plus
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in demand planning, forecasting and customer/client relationship management with proven supervisor experience.
  • Experience leading projects, and/or business teams or providing key technical expertise.
  • Experience in business integration and/or separations is a plus.
  • Experience using statistical demand planning tools (SAP, JDA, Manugistics, QAD) and a proven level of technical savvy and functional knowledge with these tools.
  • Ability to manage a high number of SKUs and significant dollar volume.
  • Experience working with remote teams and collaborating with members that report to others.
  • Experience working with suppliers in Asia and US.
  • Deep knowledge of MPS, MRP, DRP, CRP and proved experience implementing and running Kan Ban, Pull Systems and S&OP processes.
