Scope of role

The recruitment manager is responsible for leading the recruitment team to cater for both immediate resourcing needs, and more proactive talent acquisition strategy. This function should support the company’s hiring agenda by finding, hiring and retaining top market talent.
  • Develop, rationalise, align and drive the recruitment strategy
  • Develop, implement and ensure recruitment plans continue to stay relevant to the business, industry and candidate market
  • Drive a focus on talent acquisition for critical business roles – proactively working with line managers to identify key hires and areas of future concern
  • Build rapport, credibility and trust with internal stakeholders including senior management, hiring managers and HR Business Partners
  • Educate and influence internal stakeholders to be aligned to the internal recruitment process and to adopt recruitment best practices
  • Provide advice on all recruitment matters and recommend solutions
  • Adopt more cost efficient sourcing channels
  • Develop and build the team’s capabilities in alternative sourcing
  • Maintain partnerships with key recruitment firms; rationalise and develop list of approved vendors and rates
  • Lead and motivate the team to perform at their peak – delegate tasks where possible, manage team efficiently
  • Create positive environment and encourage 2 way communication to build trust and teamwork
  • Ensure consistent approach to handling recruitment issues
  • Collect and collate recruitment data
  • Provide meaningful, insightful and timely recruitment data

Job Requirements

  • Strong at building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships
  • Confidence in liaising with business to encourage communication at all levels
  • Strong understanding of recruitment processes; capable of delivering efficiently
  • Excellent leadership skills and experience nurturing and developing a team
  • At least eight years relevant experience
  • Pragmatic approach to workload, requirements and process
  • Proactive in nature
