With plans to grow an expansive portfolio of new projects (hotel, office tower, mega shopping mall, retail and residential properties), the company is seeking an Asset Management professional to spearhead appropriate strategic and operational input around development planning, property management and divestment. Based in Yangon, this newly created position is a super opportunity to lead asset management for a growing portfolio within a well-respected company. The successful individual will support real estate acquisition, development, property management and divestment activities whilst undertaking research and guiding the company with respect to new real estate projects. The overall purpose will be to create value for the Group across its portfolio and which will include support to development programmes, the evaluation and development of asset enhancement initiatives supported by best-in-class day-to-day operational, marketing and promotion activities whilst steering sales and leasing structures. Necessarily, the position will include supporting lease preparation and terms negotiation with tenants, maintaining an active land database with updates relating to rental portfolios and a need to drive internal and external stakeholder relationships.
The successful candidate will monitor the financial performance of each asset and establish budgets on an asset-by-asset basis.
Interested candidates will possess a relevant degree (Real Estate, Finance, Banking and similar) and a minimum of 4-5 years’ relevant experience in asset management with exposure across a multi-asset environment. Candidates’ should offer sound knowledge of financial valuation methods complete with experience relating to leasing, marketing, property management and asset enhancement strategy. There is initial preference for local or repatriate Burmese nationals, although mid-career expatriate candidates will also be considered. Interested candidates should possess excellent English language skills and prior Asia-based multi-cultural experience complete with an ability to coach a local team.
