Establish and develop working relationships with key stakeholders (including VTE Capital Traffic Police, Lao Youth Union, and the Road Crash Prevention team) and troubleshoot problems through regular coordination and meetings.
Support the Road Crash Prevention team in developing organizational capacities and in the process of registration with MOHA as an NPA
Support the Lao Youth Union to develop its internal strategy for engagement in Road Safety Activities.
Provide technical assistance and coaching to the key stakeholders of the project for all the projectís activities;
Act as Secretary of the road safety awareness working group of the Department of Traffic Police;
Support key stakeholders to develop and upgrade training packages in Lao language;
Regularly update HI PME tools to monitor project implementation;
Organize monthly meetings with relevant HI and/or partner staffs to review project progress and revise project monthly planning;
Ensure that the projectís database and filing system are regularly updated and the relevant statistical data concerning project activities and beneficiaries are collected and adequately stored.
Support the Road Safety Coordinator to organize support missions form HI Headquarters;
Support the Road Safety Coordinator to organize and facilitate project evaluation processes.
With the Road Safety Coordinator, actively contribute to the development of project assessment and evaluation procedures and tools to identify project strengths and weaknesses (i.e. road safety knowledge of partners and stakeholders, safe driving behavior of target groups (VTE Youth), etc.);
Prepare draft narrative reports to National project partners and stakeholders, in Lao and/or English language;
Participate in regular coordination meetings with other HI managers and present project progress, challenges, successes;
Prepare draft narrative reports to project donors and HI Headquarters;
Support the development of relevant MoU and Partnership Agreements for the implementation of the project;
Together with the Road Safety Coordinator, participate in relevant national forums (i.e. National Road Safety Committee meetings) to promote good practices in road safety awareness.
University degree in Education, Public Health, Social Sciences;
A minimum of three yearsí project experience, preferably in public health related field
Demonstrated capacity in training and capacity development of local partners;
Hard worker, efficient, creative, independent and committed.
Leadership, ability to work proactively and take initiatives.
Excellent communication skills.
Planning and work plan formulation skills.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Good knowledge of Windows MS Office.
