To ensure that the standard business requirements are in place and signed off before work is commenced.
To build and own the project plan that lists all activities, provide linkages and interdependencies between activities, the resources required delivering them, and the time allocated per activity. To manage this in a way where progress is effectively tracked and missed deliverables and milestones are communicated and escalated to the governance group, and plans are initiated to minimize the impact.
To effectively capture and document risks and issues, to escalate them for mitigation/resolution and to implement the mitigating next steps to manage the risks and issues.
Able to work effectively with business colleagues in progressing and delivering change into the business.
Able to manage and train a project coordinator resource to assist in the transactional elements linked to the projects.
To ensure that the processes, principles and guidelines documented in the project managers handbook are adhere to.
Able to interact with external vendors so that we secure goods / services at agreed costs and timelines for this project.
To manage the budget.
Degree in Business Management/Information of Technology or any related field
At least 5 years’ experience in the Retail business
Past experience in involvement in system changes project is preferred.
Excellent organizational, planning, communication, and time management skills
Logical thinking with creative problem solving ability
Good IT Skills
Good understanding of Budget Control
