Job Description


  • Understand the market trend and play an expert role in product development and enhancement by developing, re-packaging, enhancing and expending of tourism products that improve and enhance Hong Kong’s competitiveness as a travel destination

  • Formulate and direct the implementation of the strategies of Green Tourism and Heritage Tourism to explore the potential to boost the visitor arrivals and enhance visitors’ experience during their stay in Hong Kong

  • Provide accurate, professional and timely advice to facilitate the development and implementation of new tourism infrastructure to senior management on matters related to tourism development and planning so as to enrich the diversity and sophistication of tourism attractions in Hong Kong

  • Review and formulate tourism product strategy, especially on facilities & attractions and streetscape and urban form and other product development matters

  • Follow the overall tourism product strategy, develop, manage and secure implementation for various product development projects under different product categories in order to create a marketing platform with the Hong Kong’s product strength

  • Monitor the latest progress of tourism-related infrastructures and developments in order to facilitate the senior management in overall strategic planning and the operational requirements of various functional units/ departments

  • Keep abreast of the latest progress and news of tourism related infrastructures and developments in order to facilitate internal departments and other user departments’ day-to-day operation. Collate and compile inputs from tourism trade for Governmental feasibility studies, development projects and district enhancement works

  • Identify partnership or sponsorship opportunity for product development initiatives if appropriate

  • Develop and coordinate with external parties and internal departments on the promotion of products and facilities so that a concerted and effective plan can be implemented

  • Undertake any other duties/ special assignments as directed by the Supervisor

Job Requirements


  • Degree holder in Hotel and Tourism/ Marketing/ Urban Planning/ Public Administration/ Geography/ History/ Park Management

  • Min 8 years of experience in urban planning/ land development and marketing; preferably with 5 years in middle managerial role

  • Experience in public transport/ leisure management/ public or district administration and tourism product management

  • Understand and familiar with the operation of various Government Bureau/ Departments & commercial sector

  • A good team player with strategic thinking, planning and leadership skills

  • Ability to manage and initiate change

  • Have strong organizational skills and attend to details

  • Able to work independently, multi-tasked and result-oriented

  • A fast learner with passion to work in event management

  • Possess international perspective on tourism development trends

  • Good inter-personal & communication skills

  • Good command of English, Chinese. Putonghua is an advantage.
