Job Description

  • MER Specialist provides support to all Humanitarian Program Units.
  • S/He leads the monitoring, evaluations, assessments, studies and ensures quantitative and qualitative reports to keep management informed about program quality.
  • The position holder will require keeping a close eye on projects to ensure that the grant funded projects are on track in term of compliance to action plans, LFAs and M&E Frameworks

Job Requirements

  • Understanding of humanitarian issues in Myanmar
  • At least five (5) years’ experience in participatory assessment and monitoring, data processing & analysis, report writing and leading of evaluations and researches.
  • Understanding of community development in local context
  • Have knowledge of emergency response with International standard SPHERE, HAP etc…
  • Responsible for the operation of MER system in Emergency Response Operations
  • Works closely with Humanitarian Program Units and provides necessary technical support to Plan and Partner’s relevant staff
  • Ensures learning are well documented, disseminated and applied
  • Keeps the management informed about program quality in relation to Plan and International Humanitarian Standards, LFAs, M&E Frameworks
  • Leads assessments, studies and evaluations
