Job Description

Marketing
  • Implement an integrated marketing strategy for Intermodal Asia and Vitafoods Asia including exhibitor and visitor campaigns
  • Manage costs and work within pre-agreed marketing budgets, tracking spend at all times
  • Work to pre-agreed timelines for exhibitor and visitor promotional timelines
  • Execute all marketing media to promote the exhibition to visitors in accordance with the marketing strategy
  • Identify appropriate media partners, associations and industry bodies, and negotiate barter deals to maximize event exposure
  • Ensure the show website is fully up to date at all times
  • Set up media deals with external organisations to ensure maximum exposure at lowest cost to show budget
  • Set up partnerships with relevant industry partners for access to their databases
  • Work with show sponsors, exhibitors etc. to create opportunities to promote the event
  • Manage any suppliers (e.g. visitor registration companies, telemarketing, print, mailing houses, SMS distributors etc.) to ensure quality, timely work
  • Coordinate the design and print production of all marketing collateral including visitor tickets, sponsor and VIP invites, print advertisements, web banners/emails etc.
  • Use new media tools such as social platforms to create new marketing channels
  • Copy write and proof all marketing materials as required, in conjunction with Exhibition Director/ Marketing Director/ Marketing Manager
  • Be responsible for the translation  of copy with the translation agency
  • Provide KPI reports for update meetings with Exhibition Director/Manager
General
  • Manage and co-ordinate all external suppliers including Print, Mailing House, Design and Research, Web etc.
  • Provide any other reporting information as required by show team
  • Be the show ambassador in the region and attend meetings, conferences, competitive events as required
  • Work closely with the Singapore-based Vitafoods sales team and the rest of the Intermodal and Vitafoods team in the UK
  • Perform any other duties as commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility

Job Requirements

  • International events marketing experience, minimum 3 years.
  • Thorough understanding of direct marketing initiatives including mail and email marketing
  • Fluent English and Chinese language skills (to liaise with associates)
  • Database development and growth including segmentation / advanced targeting
  • Online marketing experience to include search engine optimisation and banner placement
  • Significant exposure to design and print suppliers / agencies
  • High level of copywriting and collateral production knowledge
  • Deadline and target driven
  • Experience of working in a pressurised environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office
  • Ability and flexibility to travel
