Job Description

  • Identify hazards, conduct regularly safety audits and advise on corrective actions and preventive countermeasures
  • Evaluate status of legal compliance in field of safety and industrial hygiene, propose and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Prepare regular reports and statistics on safety performance.
  • Prepare related safety guideline, standards, procedure, checklist and forms as per requirements of system and instruction of Safety Superintendent.
  • Prepare safety training materials and conduct safety training courses to all employees/ contractors.
  • Support in process of Risk Assessment/ Register and tracking
  • Increase health and safety awareness at all levels within the organization
  • Coordinate with related departments in areas of safety, including first aid, CPR, accident prevention and investigation, work place inspections and other matters related to implementing safety procedures
  • Liaise with the fire department regarding emergency procedures, communications and fire safety education programs to improve status of safety compliance and increase Companyís safety culture
  • Assume other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in HSE or related field / Certified OHSAS 18001 Auditor is a plus.
  • At least 5 years working as Labor Safety Manager/HSE Engineer for Foreign companies/contractor in large-scaled industrial plant project (hospitality, power, cement, oil refinery etc.).
  • Good understanding of safety management principles / legal requirements in field of Occupational Safety and Industrial Hygiene.
  • Basic understandings of building and compliance with Safety Management System such as OHSAS 18001:2007.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in the local language and English both verbally and nonverbally.
  • Exceptional and professional communication & presentation skills, both oral and written.
  • Well organized, multitask, detail oriented, problem solving.
  • Microsoft knowledge is required.
  • Ability to act and understand a sense of urgency.
  • Must be able to work self-directed, handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment, and work under pressure and meet deadlines with particular attention to detail.
  • Excellent guest service skills. Must have the ability to respond to handle difficult or stressful situations with tact and diplomacy.
