Job Description

  • Develop business development marketing plan and strategy
  • Source for new market opportunities and propose a business expansion and market penetration strategy for the assigned brand to compete and grow internationally
  • Conduct market research and sensitivity analysis that meet BU's investment criteria, evaluate current and potential distribution channels tailored to each market in the Region and work with Finance to make final proposal
  • Execute the IBD plan and strategy, drive sales growth and new investment in each country and achieve financial targets including net revenue and gross margin while maintaining targeted costs to achieve maximum profitability
  • Deal with local department store or landlord in the assigned country regarding space/shop/warehouse rental and all related matters
  • Seek for potential partners in case of franchising by analyzing prospects while using his/her understanding of the market and commercial skills to identify business opportunities
  • Act as a consultant for the franchisees; for example, helping them set up the shops, advise in planning and strategizing various marketing and sales activities, promote their business performance under a high standard of service and ensure their compliance to
  • Company's business directions
  • In each country, work closely with all departments concerned as part of a multidisciplinary team to plan start-up operations and facilitate good investment
  • Work with Design and Product Development teams to create product solutions geared to international consumer needs while maintaining brand personality and concept
  • Partner with Marketing to develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies, visual merchandising and collateral to raise brand visibility and support international business expansion
  • Work with the International Sales team to determine appropriate service levels and drive execution to deliver results
  • Develop strong alliances with relevant local partners to reinforce the brandís growth and strong position in international markets
  • Work with HR Division for staff recruitment, training, performance review and other related human resources matters
  • Overlook the local retail team in each country during the introductory period to drive the sales growth and achieve overall targets
  • Manage the IBD team to meet the BU target and ensure that all activities are in line with the BU strategy

Job Requirements

  • Age 30 plus with good personality, preferably female
  • A university degree in Marketing or related discipline, MBA is preferred
  • At least 5 yrs. retail operations, business development or international sales experience in fashion industry, several yearsí experience in dealing with local partners or retail firms in the Region would be beneficial
  • Solid skills in market analysis and business development in overseas markets, exposure to international markets is essential
  • Able to deal with overseas clients and work closely with internal merchandising team independently
  • Strong fashion and business sense
  • Sharp presentation and negotiation skills
  • Good analytical skills, sensitive to figures and sound PC knowledge
  • Well organized, committed and can work independently & under pressure
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English, Mandarin would be an advantage
  • Enjoy frequent traveling & working with people from different cultures
