Act as the leader for the Marketing major. This includes developing a vision and strategy for the major, curriculum, faculty members, and industry connections. As well as, supervising the studies of students in the marketing major, including providing academic advice and supervising their internship(s).
To initiate and engage in marketing and student recruiting efforts and extracurricular activities designed to increase the number of students and the quality of the educational experience of students in the business faculty.
To collaborate with other departments as needed and to take part in creating an environment of learning, cooperation, inclusiveness, and mutual respect.
The Employee agrees to teach 12 hours per week totaling 33 weeks per academic year and other assigned responsibilities by the University.
The Employee agrees to complete a research project, and to write 2 academic articles to be published within a year.
The Employee agrees to fully involve and actively participate in student activities, university projects as well as to perform special functions or to join special programs.
The Employee agrees to serve in the capacity of student club advisor as required.
The Employee agrees to be fully cooperative and to abide by the Private Higher Education Institute Act, Rules, Regulations, and Orders issued by Office of Higher Education Commission, as well as those stipulated in the STIU Faculty Handbook.
Masters or PhD in Marketing or related fields
At least 3 years of industry experience
Fluent in English Language (Native speaker not required)
At least 3 years teaching experience at the university level
Excellent inter-personal and classroom management skills
Excellent leadership and organizational skills
