Our client is a market leader in the spirits sector in Myanmar, having been present in the market for almost 20 years. They are fully supported through the manufacturing process with their own distilleries and bottling plants, and have offices across the country. As part of corporate succession planning, they are currently hiring for a Head of Marketing to lead this company into the next decade of challenges as the country opens its doors to foreign organizations.
Reporting to the Deputy Managing Director, the Head of Marketing will be responsible for directing the company's overall brand and portfolio marketing, new product development (NPD), marketing and strategic planning programs, and managing the effective use of marketing budget. You will lead the NPD team to design and develop new products to meet the needs of consumers or alter existing products to make improvements, ensure compliance with both internal policies and procedures and external legislative requirements, and manage the relationship with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and launch of products.
To excel in this role, you should come with strong marketing experience in consumer goods / FMCG (across sales management, brand marketing and production development), ideally from a reputable multi-national corporation. You are strategic in your business plans, with a track record of success in defending market leadership via brand development and line extensions. Past / current experience dealing in the Myanmar market will be highly advantageous to your application and success in this role.
