The company is a noted multi-sector Myanmar company with several market-leading business units, notably within Food Process Consumer Goods, that has been undergoing a progressive transformation exercise to enhance its senior leadership and its functional capabilities. Its objective is to introduce and maintain operational Best Practices, the development of deep relationships with its local and international business partners and growth through strategic expansion and innovation. Its evolution includes the systematic hiring of experienced repatriate and expatriate professionals who offer well-honed, international exposure. The company wishes to appoint an experienced Head of Manufacturing for its Food, Beverage and Agri products.
The Head of Manufacturing will be a key member of the senior management team and appointed to drive the continuous improvement of all food and beverage manufacturing plant, production processes, quality and integrated supply chain operations. This will include the leadership of a 1000-strong local production team, driving operational excellence initiatives associated with Lean Sigma and Kaizen, establishment and monitoring of manufacturing KPIs (productivity, quality, waste, cost) whilst instilling and inculcating a ‘continuous improvement’ culture across the organization. The scope will include managing current and future capital investment projects in manufacturing and logistics, the addition of new production lines and plant commissioning whilst collaborating with key departments for cross-functional alignment (IT, Finance, Sales, Marketing).
Interested candidates will ideally be Myanmar nationals with current or prior international experience secured within a first-tier manufacturing company (food process, automotive and similar). You will be a degree-holder (Manufacturing, Process Engineer, Industrial Engineering) with a minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience including at least 2-3 years in a senior supervisory/leadership capacity complete with strong exposure to Operational Excellence methodology (Kaizen/Lean Sigma) and a proven record of results pertaining manufacturing excellence, cost reduction, quality improvement and optimized productivity.
