Job Description

Our client is a general insurance company located in Bangkok.

Responsibilities:
  • Integrate compliance obligations, compliance risk assessment and the compliance management process into business practices
  • Perform the analysis of risks associated with the business and recommend necessary controls to mitigate compliance risks
  • Develops and implements strategies/tactics to prevent and reduce fraud and the identification, investigation and prosecution of all fraudulent activities
  • Provide a full range of compliance advice and services with specialist knowledge in support of a particular line of business or function
  • Supervise process of controlling over company rules, regulations to ensure that such rules, regulations are up-to-date and appropriate in alignment the company’s business context and relevant laws, rules and regulations
  • Maintain current awareness of applicable and proposed laws and regulations and make recommendations to Management Team on compliance matters with applicable regulations. Moreover, develop and maintain the Company’s compliance policies and procedural manuals
  • Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans
  • Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable compliance policy and regulations
  • Act as Secretary of Audit Committee
  • Reviewing with the management and Reporting to AC on a regular basis to review progress on program implementation and assisting with establishing improvement plans
The ideal candidate will have direct experience in compliance within a general insurance company

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Business Administration/Finance/Accounting
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Audit, Internal Control , Compliance and business law with at least 5 years as supervisory or managerial level
  • Deep understanding of insurance business activities, practices and processes and exposure to sales operations, cultures and distribution i.e. agency, broker and telemarketing
  • Experience of developing and managing Compliance Monitoring Programs
  • Able to translate compliance obligations (as defined by the lawyers) into practical solutions for the businesses for e.g. policies, procedures, training, tools and other controls
  • Sound people and communication, and report-writing skills
  • Good problem-solving capability and ability to work independently and as a Team
