Taking responsibility for the business performance of the restaurant.
Analysing and planning restaurant sales levels and profitability.
Organising marketing activities, such as promotional events and discount schemes.
Preparing reports at the end of the shift/week, including staff control, food control and sales.
Creating and executing plans sales, profit and staff development.
Setting budgets and/or agreeing them with the owner.
Planning and coordinating menus with the Executive Chef.
Coordinating the entire operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts.
Managing staff and providing them with feedback.
Responding to customer feedback.
Ensuring that all employees adhere to the company's standards.
Meeting and greeting customers and organising table reservations.
Advising customers on menu and wine choice.
Recruiting, training and motivating staff.
Organising and supervising the shifts of kitchen, waiting and cleaning staff.
Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety.
Overseeing the checking of stock levels and ordering supplies.
Overseeing the cash control
Helping in any area of the restaurant when circumstances dictate.
A 'hands on' role will require a self-motivated person with a strong leadership and training skill-set and the ability to organise and motivate a predominately young team of over 80 staff
Minimum 5 years experience in F&B in a management role
Hospitality Management degree preferred but not essential
As a restaurant with a large international clientele a good command of English will be essential and preference will be given to candidates with international experiencea
