The company is an internationally-driven Joint Venture focused upon the provision of a suite of personal, hospitality and corporate transportation services (fleet car leasing, VIP/tourist transportation, rentals and staff transportation) whilst ensuring that premium quality, reliability and safety act as product and service differentiators that will build strong brand reputation and lasting customer experience. Having successfully entered the market and secured its initial customers and operations team, the company is ready to appoint its permanent General Manager.
The General Manager will manage the JV company and its key stakeholders and be fully responsible for business P&L whilst playing an active, hands-on role to drive critical fundamentals of success – business development, sales, marketing and customer service. The primary objective will be to profitably expand the customer base (corporates, hotel operators and independent travelers) whilst preserving margin. This will be underpinned by ensuring that commercial contracts and operational service SOPs/KPIs are aligned and executed professionally to meet and exceed expectations. In addition, the GM will monitor market trends, keep abreast of the regulatory environment, assess market opportunities, consistently ensure business development and sales activity effectively reaches the target audience whilst monitoring the service delivery of the operational team. Supported by an experienced Sales Manager, there will be a need to train, coach, mentor, motivate and inspire a small but growing team. The challenge of the position relates to expanding the customer base (leading a sales and operations team to achieve sales and execution targets) whilst building a premium quality Brand Reputation.
Interested candidates must offer a Degree, a fluent command of English and Burmese language and at least 6-7 years’ track record of success in results-focused B2B and B2C sales and service environments (automotive, hospitality, corporate sales) and preferably with at least 2 years’ General Management experience including P&L responsibility. The successful individual will be a natural business developer, offer strong people management skills and demonstrate an ability to instill high standards of sales and service excellence to deliver top- and bottom-line results. As this is the start-up phase of the business, interested candidates must embrace the need to play an active, hands-on and resourceful role with an intense passion to build and grow a business; this requires a medium- and long-term perspective.
