Job Description

  • Managing the maintenance of our books (4 active entities- BGN, Xepto, Colixo and NVC Realty). 
  • Overseeing prompt completion of audits and tax preparation (including coordination with US consultants) for all entities under our management, including 2 in the United States and one in the British Virgin Islands. 
  • Managing and analyzing financial audits of Philippine firms 
  • For US investments, conducting analysis and preparing financial reports from our investee companies. 
  • Assisting the financial planning and management of our Philippine and US companies. 
  • Writing financial and/or operations reports to investment partners 
  • Interfacing with local and foreign banks for reports, etc. 
  • Coordinating treasury placements and wire transfers with the Managing Director 
  • Handling the day to day finance activities, including but not limited to : 
  • Preparation of journal and check vouchers, preparing and releasing checks, getting approvals and signatures for expenses; 
  • Preparing regular returns and/or reports for BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, HDMF, PEZA 
  • Taking charge of remittances for government payments 
  • Negotiating and contracting with suppliers 
  • Regular financial reports to Managing Director 

Job Requirements

  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant 
  • Minimum 5-10 years’ experience. Ideally 5 or more years of experience consulting for PEZA and multinational companies with cross-border transactions. 
  • Experience with corporate finance. Greater than CFA level 1 highly desirable. 
  • Knowledge of US tax laws and accounting principles. Or, be a fast learner with eagerness to acquire such knowledge. 
  • High-level of integrity, intelligent, self-motivated, hard worker and willing to spend any amount of time after work to get the job done (not often the case but sometimes required) 
  • Very comfortable user of PC accounting systems (QuickBooks). 
  • Superior oral and written English communication skills. Capable of keeping his/her own in front of tough US counterparts. 
  • High-degree of confidence, entrepreneurial spirit, ability to self-manage, analyze and make decisions or recommendations to superiors 
  • Team worker, ability to not take criticism personally 
  • Neat, orderly in keeping files and presenting materials to management 
  • Willing to work in or ideally within 30 minutes of Alabang.
