Job Description

  • Ensure that accounting books are kept up-to-date and comply with Myanmar regulation and group finance regulations
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements and schedules according to Myanmar regulations and group finance regulations
  • Planning and preparation of annual budget and periodic forecast of financial statements, cash flow and forex exposure statements in close cooperation with the local MD
  • Ensure proper and timely follow-up with customers and suppliers for receivable and payable.
  • Perform detailed account analysis and provide valuable and accurate MIS reports to head office, local management and department heads to facilitate better decision making
  • Assist head office, local management and internal departments to improve and align workflows
  • Monitoring and managing cash flows and forecasting future trends
  • Co-ordinate and supervise audits to ensure timely submission of audit reports to head office
  • Co-ordinate with tax consultant and local partner to ensure all required documents are submitted to file tax returns
  • Co-ordinate and ensure timely staff income tax payments, SSC payments and renewal of licenses.
  • Train and develop staff to perform their duties effectively and efficiently

Job Requirements

  • At least bachelor degree in accounting or equivalent
  • At least 3 year experience in Finance on mid management level e.g. supervisor
  • Good knowledge in Finance, Accounting, Budgeting and Reporting as well as Cash Flow Management and Tax Principles
  • Excellent MS Excel skills. Experience of working and implementation of ERP software will be an added advantage
  • Experience in finalizing books of accounts and preparing MIS reports
  • Strong attention to details and an investigative nature
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Advanced leadership & people management skills
  • The ability to work as part of an international team and to build strong working relationships
  • Fluency in English (writing and speaking)
  • Prepared to travel locally and regionally
  • Experience in Travel Industry would be preferred
