Job Description

Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting for a Multinational Steel Manufacturing company. Our respected client is seeking a finance professional for the job of Finance Manager. The job is based in Cilegon, Banten, Indonesia. The position will responsible for providing effective and efficient financial and tax accounting processes, analysis, and governance processes to ensure a high level of integrity is maintained in the Financial Statements. This is a senior position open to a qualified finance or accounting expert with at least 15 years’ experience.

  • Development, maintenance, control and improvement of the accounting systems & processes.
  • Ensuring financial reporting is in line with Company’s Accounting Policies and Guidelines and complies with Indonesian Tax regulation. From a governance perspective the role ensures that tax audits are free of compliance issues and key controls are in place and working effectively
  • Preparing Financial Statements (monthly and anually), understanding the current state of the business and managing the gap to budget
  • Set up the process of the periodical financial statements (monthly reporting, consolidated statements), estimated ones (last estimate, budget). Variance analysis and commentary against budget, ensuring tax compliance, preparing tax returns and supporting the tax audit process; preparation of budgets, forecasts and business plans, and effective balance sheet management
  • Month End & Reporting:
  • Manage full delivery of monthly result for business area. This includes:
  • Deliver to Corporate and Division deadlines
  • Month end process
  • Prepare & explain variance analysis
  • Prepare business commentary
  • A continuous improvement approach to month-end cycle is to be applied, with a focus to reduce waste and improve accuracy of information
  • Ensure the reports continue to be standardised and rationalised, while maintaining a high level of service to the business
  • Ensure integrity of reporting and underlying ERP that provides database for reporting
  • Tax Compliance and Tax returns:
  • Review and calculate monthly withholding taxes, prepare monthly tax returns and file all tax documents
  • Review and prepare tax reconciliation for Annual Tax Return for Corporate Income Tax Return (CITR) and Employee Income Tax Return (EITR)
  • Liaise with External Auditors for preparation of annual Financial Statements and Notes
  • Liaise with External Consultant in filing CITR, VAT and EITR
  • Ensure business transactions are executed in compliance with company Standards and local tax regulations
  • Identify tax saving opportunities and assess potential tax exposures and impacts on business transactions

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • CA/CPA member (or equivalent)
  • At least 15 years experience of financial/tax accounting role
  • strong command of English
  • Strong Financial Evaluation skills
  • Effective communication skills in engaging people across the business
  • Taxation knowledge – Corporate Income Tax, Employee Tax, transfer price
  • Strong business acumen complimented by problem solving,analytical skills and strong Excel skills
