Job Description

Responsibility:
  • Responsible for new fabric development, fabric trend presentation, key seasonal trend overview for all fabric types for garment (Womenswear, Menswear, Girls wear and Boys wear)
  • Design & develop ‘own fabric’ range collections to be presented quarterly to the business
  • Key Fabric contact person responsible to co-ordinate seasonal fabric ‘wish list’ with head office teams
  • Attend Trade shows, conduct mill and shop visits to research the new product trends and technology
  • Work closely with fabric technical team to comply with requirements and with sales team to Increase sales by developing commercial trend fabrics

Job Requirements

  • College or above in textiles/clothing and related disciplines
  • Possess comprehensive fabric knowledge including all woven and jersey, light weight and heavy weight fabrics
  • Understand fabric capabilities by country
  • Sound market awareness about sourcing price, minimum order quantity, lead time etc.
  • Strong awareness of UK testing requirements and standards
  • Good fashion sense and commerciality
  • Good communication and organization skills
  • Proficient spoken and written English
  • Willing to travel to head office, offshore countries and mills frequently
