The role will be responsible for leading the development of employee communications and engagement activities. The role will ensure the smooth delivery of the company’s strategy and objectives to employees. The incumbent will deliver communication services /programmes /products to management and key functions supporting business change and internal engagement. The incumbent will also provide internal marketing communications that support HR i.e. attraction and retention strategies.
Establish an employee communications calendar and develop events and activities i.e. creating and management of appropriate materials and channels
Communicate the business performance to employees in conjunction with shareholder announcements and media releases
Work closely with HR on appropriate methods to track employee engagement as well as development of the company’s brand
Manage the visibility of senior leaders within the company
Develop and lead project management teams in the development of employee messaging and change management communications
Establish and maintain a network of communications best practice across the businesses
Establish relevant policies to guide employees in their communication activities including us of social media
Bachelor of Science or Economics majoring in Journalism and Communication related degree and MBA would be an advantage
Experience in Internal Communications is a must
10-15 years of internal communication experience
Good business acumen and knowledge of change management within a growing environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Energetic individual with the ability to work under pressure
