Job Description

With a Global Presence and a rich heritage in providing Supply Chain management services to the Chemical, Petrochemical, Polymer, Biofuels, Oil and Pharmaceutical industry sectors, our client is an iconic multinational service provider of Global Freight, Transport Solutions, and 3PL Warehousing with a strong presence in the Asia Region.

Driven by opportunities and the changing landscape of consumer and industrial demand, they seek to employ a highly experienced, customer focused Asia Pacific Sales Director to lead business development and sales engagement across Asia Pacific.

Based in Singapore with an Asia wide mandate, you will be expected to actively develop professional, long-term relationships with chemical and petrochemical industry customers that delivers value by implementing practical, impartial and, most importantly, cost-saving end to end supply chain solutions, with a focus on Freight Forwarding, Transport and Contract Logistics services.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ Senior Level Sales experience within the international supply chain, freight forwarding and Chemical Logistics markets.
  • A relevant degree and/or formal qualification in any discipline preferably holding diploma/degree in Management with 10 years’ plus experience.
  • Demonstrated hands on operational experience and knowledge of Chemical Logistics Services, Warehousing, Air Freight, Ocean Freight and Logistics Technology systems / tools.
  • Aggressiveness with a desire to succeed and a know how to apply solutions based on evolving industry trends and market growth dynamics.
  • Excellent project management skills and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across functional lines and excellent cross-cultural experience and capabilities, especially with Asian cultures.
  • Solid leadership skills with strong oral and written communication skills, drive, sense of urgency, and energy levels.
  • Excellent strategic planning skills and an able to initiate senior management meetings and lead from the front in the marketplace.
  • Ability to travel
