Job Description

Report to: VP - Hotel Operations South East Asia

Responsibilities
  • Manages relationship with travel partners including corporate and/or leisure retail and wholesale agencies, travel management companies, consortia, MICE and direct consumer groups of the properties
  • Exercises maximization of revenue by preparing marketing strategies and promotions ensuring implementation control and distribution so those strategies are effective
  • Ensures that all rates are loaded by accurate completion of database
  • Analyses competitors’ activities and pricing strategy
  • Follows up on sales activities with respective properties for group / reservation
  • Implements and controls par stock at the SilverNeedle Hospitality Thailand Office for all required Sales & Marketing Collaterals – Brochures / CDs etc.
  • Analyses performance of existing customers
  • Ensures that contracts are followed up with proper tracking of due dates and clauses.
  • Controls all contracts submitted by properties under jurisdiction to abide with standard templates and rate grid
  • Grow and manage client databases for the properties from Bangkok and local source markets and segments
  • Schedules detailed action plans to support the Revenue Proposal for all sections of the business
  • Submit monthly sales and marketing activities and report for the properties
  • Sources and compiles market information / analysis through the web and through different media
  • Understand and respect the Corporate Identity manual

Job Requirements

  • Thai nationality
  • Must have previous experience working in Sales and Marketing in a 5 star hotel
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience in drafting and managing budgets / revenue proposals, analyzing and forecasting results / Market segments and rates
  • Experience in GDS an advantage
  • Outstanding communication skills in Thai and English
  • Possess strong computer (particularly Excel) and analytical skills
  • Marketing communication skills, persuasive and assertive in communication
  • Outgoing personality, engaging and confident
