Providing overall leadership and management of the Banquets and Events hosted by the hotel.
Planning and organizing the Banquets and Events and ensure that the service delivered is in line with the Amari Watergate service standards and as per guests requirements
To interact with guests, suppliers, and other partners as required to ensure maximum guest satisfaction and maximize the returns to the hotel
To be a sales champion for the hotel, generating and following up on business referrals and potential sales leads to maximize business for the hotel.
Achieving maximum profitability and over-all success by controlling costs and quality of service.
Consistent check of Banquet Food and Beverage quality, Banquet services and Plate presentation and quality of meeting room set-up.
Staff attitude and appearance.
Providing quick service for last minute changes
To work closely with Events team in respect of requests for inspection or care of potential clients
To have full knowledgeable of the following: Function room capacities and various set ups, available space and rental charges, Menus and pricing, Guarantee policy Cancellation policy, Payment policy, Corkage fees, Miscellaneous pricing ( floral, entertainment, etc), Shipping /receiving policies
To monitor, handle and process all billing/ payment procedures according to accounting standards.
To manage the weekly schedules and schedule staff as necessary to ensure adequate and consistent levels of service.
To maintain records for inventory, labor cost, food cost etc.
To supervise monthly attendance system input.
You will possess an internationally recognized culinary qualification or Bachelorís Degree.
You should have experience gained in Western Kitchens restaurant background and be able to demonstrate experience of working with multicultural teams of 100+ colleagues.
You will also possess extremely strong leadership and communication skills as you will manage a large team of culinary colleagues and will assist in the coordination of manning and recruitment activity, as well as maximizing the productivity and scheduling of employees.
As well as the operational experience you will be comfortable working to budgets so able to control all food costs and have a strong eye for attention to detail.
You should have a very good command of the English language; verbal and written and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Prior experience as Director of Conference & Banqueting
Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written)
Minimum of two yearsí experience as a Director of Conference & Banqueting
Creative with excellent computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Micros)
Able to maintain a good rapport with a multicultural cliental
Able to train, mentor and coach team members.
Administrates online social networking accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) for maximizing market awareness and for driving weddings, themed events and outside catering business.
Good understanding of the Bangkok market.
Excellent knowledge of the financial aspect of the business
Experience in liaising with agencies for contracting of artists
