Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) you will be responsible for:
Determine and understand industry, category and consumer trends to proactively seek and recommend solutions
Establish the product development strategies and annual product plan, including helping anticipate market changes and defining the product plan evolution for each category, and then lead the team to fulfill it
Convert brand strategy into sales strategy with actionable recommendations
Provide guidance, leadership and category/brand expertise to field category management managers
Development of Category Management strategies providing insights and retail solutions, addressing assortment, cost, pricing and marketing
Assists in training, distribution and execution of category management tools with field
Leads and/or participates in Corporate priority projects
Create strategic relationships with external key accounts.
Work closely with the CCO and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the organization.
3-5 years consumer product goods industry exp. with background in category management
Strong analytical/data interpretation into strategies and capabilities is a must
Creating compelling sales stories & strategies which can impact the bottom line
Excellent oral/written and platform skills
Ability to develop and secure leadership role within Category Management function for business unit
Desire to work in a team environment and foster cross-functional support and learning
Objective analytical power – makes accurate/objective assessments of problems
Strong Market orientation – an outward focus toward the customer/consumer to maximize business results
Knowledge on the consumer electronics industry is an advantage but not required
