Job Description

The Deputy General Director (DGD) will handle a wide range of activities, both internal and external, on behalf of the GD, requiring management, engineering and business expertise. This results-driven executive will have primary responsibilities as follows:
  • Project Management
In coordination with HTL and Faro Clientís directors, the DGD will plan, lead, and report on complex projects in both the head office and the factory in Nha Be. This will include staffing and contracting with outside expertise, all while meeting stringent timelines. Business case development and presentation will be required.
  • Assisting the GD
Providing ad hoc research, analysis, and coordination with internal and external parties to support effective decision-making are critical to succeed in this role.
  • Process Improvement
Map and analyze business processes in the head office, sales offices, and the factory. Develop and execute improvement plans to increase accuracy and efficiency, and decrease cost.
  • Market Intelligence
The DGD will be supportive to the Managing Director for understanding Faroís client market and industry information requirements to fulfill these for each function accordingly. In addition to a needs-analysis, budgeting, acquisition and deployment for the managementís decision-making, the DGD with define and implement a knowledge management system to ensure the intelligence is retained within Faroís Client and available for use globally within the Group.
  • Liaison with HTL
The DGD will serve as the point of contact and interface with Faroís Client of parent and largest customer, Hi-Tech Lubricants AP PTE. Ltd., In supply of lubricant and chemical products. This includes pricing, customer service, quality, problem-solving, change management, product launch, obsolescence, as well as financial and related analysis.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 yearsí experience at the management level with specific knowledge in lubricants or chemicals.
  • Industrial management background.
  • Experience with implementation of an ERP solution, especially SAP, is an advantage.
  • Understanding and experience in technical, process engineering and business aspects of cross-border project management, with competence in a manufacturing environment.
  • Product development experience would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge in accounting and finance.
  • Salient analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills in Vietnamese and English at a Board presentation level. Ability to communicate in French is preferred.
  • Functional understanding of the commercial legal framework of Vietnam.
  • Bachelorís or Masterís degree in a relevant engineering field, with continuing education in business (MBA).
