Job Description

  • Serve as a line administrator to provide leadership to and supervision of adult teachers in meeting the expectations of NYIS.
  • Set educational standards and goals, and help establish policies, procedures, and programs to carry them out.
  • Monitor students' progress, and provide students and teachers with assistance in resolving any problems.
  • Assist and provide instructional leadership to branch managers of the School.
  • Provide leadership to BMís in order to meet and/or exceed the education goal of the School.
  • Participate with the English Academic Manager in the screening and interviewing process, to identify candidates for selection as ESL teachers.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of professional staff development for teachers.
  • Assist BMís implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of school improvement plans and technical assistance plans in the academic aspect.
  • Serve as a liaison with other departments at the head office, and communicate regularly to ensure maximum efficiency in the delivery of relevant information related to ensuring maximum efficiency in the delivery of relevant information related to education to NYIS branches.
  • Attend SMB meetings, Branch meetings, and other meetings, as required.
  • Promote pre and elementary school teachersí active participation and provide responses to address issues related to education.
  • Provide development of program and academic proposals.
  • Prepare documentation and materials for formal approval by top management.
  • Monitor unit guide and supplementary materials used in pre and elementary school teaching.
  • Confer with parents and staff to discuss educational activities and policies, and students' behavioral or learning problems.   

Job Requirements

  • Plan, direct, or coordinate the academic and nonacademic activities of English Pre and Elementary School programs.
  • Bachelorís degree in Education majoring in TEFL, and masterís degree preferred ;
  • English native with at least three years of progressively responsible experience in English Pre and Elementary School Education;
  • Be computer literate;
  • Have excellent communication, interpersonal skill and strong character;
  • Willing to work independently and with team spirit;
  • Flexibility, adaptability, transparency, and enthusiasm;
  • At least 25 years of age with good physical appearance and personality traits.
  • Pedagogical certificate is a decided plus.
  • Native English speaker only
