Job Description

Our Client is the leading supplier of sewing thread to the garment and footwear industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for In-country relationships

  • Engage with local management, function heads, mill / warehouse heads to learn business direction and IT requirements.

  • Work closely with IT Service Delivery Manager - Region to align country IT with Global IT direction and plans.

  • Manage of all local IT teams and partner services staff in the country or business area.

  • Manage partner relationship for materials, services and projects and ensure SLAs are met.

  • Accountable for local IT infrastructure operations - servers, desktops, printers, scanners, plotters, UPSes, EPABXs, network equipment etc.

  • Provide legacy/local IT application support - products and services that are specific to the country or sites.

  • Deliver end user support - software installation, hardware troubleshooting, managing software licenses, malware removal, local helpdesk where not covered globally, (using global system), escalation to partner/regional/global teams when an issue requires higher skill sets.

  • Develop, track, and control the IT budget technical services annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing, and operations for the region.

  • Decision support necessary for running the business competitively and profitably.

Change Management

  • Perform local changes as per user requirements or as requested by global groups / procedures.

  • Project Management - Requirements captured and entered into group wide Project Management process, management of local resources, full management of small projects that are local, performing functions as per global programs requirements.

  • Support local implementation of global plans and projects.

Governance & Control

  • Build and nurture a top class team dedicated to assure IT service levels and business growth.

  • IT services of quality and timeliness required for optimal business operations.

  • Develop Business Continuity Plan (BCP) - work with local business and central groups to develop and maintain Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP) and perform period tests of these pans. Test must include businesses impacted.

  • Manage local IT vendors.

  • Manage local IT costs.

  • Implement suitable IT security measures in line with Global IT policies and standards- especially local physical security and also securing devices and services not managed centrally.

  • Continuously improve IT service levels to enable the line functions to delight Company's customers.

Job Requirements

  • A recognized basic degree or equivalent professional qualification.

  • 8 to 10 years' experience in the IT function in a manufacturing organization, 5 years in a managerial capacity

  •  Expert knowledge of cutting edge technologies such as unified communications, networking and security technologies, as well as an in-depth knowledge of Linux, Windows.

  •  Hands on experience in supporting 50+ ERP users, preferably SAP users, in a manufacturing environment.

  •  Excellent communication, team-working and negotiation skills

  •  Broad knowledge of technology used within textile manufacturing environment

  •  Hands on experience in project planning and management, budget management

  •  Hands on experience in managing vendors for material and service, relationship with service desks and SLA's.

  •  Proven experience of working in a manufacturing, supply chain and marketing organizations and users

  •  Good knowledge of various functions of business, their key transactions and information needs


  • Software development and implementation experience, preferably working as part of a team.

  • Project management experience, preferably in data / voice installation covering multiple sites, some of which doing manufacturing


  • The successful candidates will be worked in professional, dynamic environment.

  • To be contributed Social Insurance, Health Insurance and Unemployment Insurance under Vietnamese Labor Law; specifically to be contributed Insurance 24/24.

  • Working days: Monday to Friday, Saturday off in rotation.
