In conjunction with the Regional Function Heads, take overall responsibility for managing the country functional support activities managed under M&IB Logistics, Change and Business Services in Thailand, including Operations (across Banking & Trade, FICC, Banking, Cash & Payments, Risk & Control), Technology and Corporate Services. The support activities extend to all Business Units of the bank operating in country including International Banking and Markets.
The role is responsible for leveraging both the local resources, including third party managed service staff (IT and Property) and regional support within relevant functional areas under COO remit to deliver the required support for the country.
Oversee the delivery of the country change agenda as is relevant to the country franchise.
Take specific senior responsibility in country for overseeing effective control frameworks are implemented around cross-bank themes such as Outsourcing, Records Management, Security, Business Continuity and the Fraud Prevention agenda.
Serve as Deputy to the Country Executive in key country franchise business administration matters and supporting the Country Executive in their responsibilities, focused on: compliance with in-country regulatory requirements; country governance matters; external industry group representation; coordination of cross-functional risk control and development initiatives in-country; driving the people agenda in-country; maintaining the property, security, records management, fraud prevention, outsourcing and business continuity strategy in-country. in absence of CE on day to day country management matters.
Represent Logistics and Business Services on Country Management Committees and Country GCC and present on Support matters to Regional Management and Project Forums.
Experience in support functions of the banking industry for more than 10 years
A comprehensive knowledge of Wholesale Banking / Financial Markets
Experience of directly managing cross-functional teams in a BAU/or project environment
Experience of working within complex global organisations
Experience of delivering complex regional and global change and business development programmes in a country
Experience of building relationships with key business leaders
