Job Description

Our client is the world’s leading Retail international company, specialized in cosmetics and personal care products. They are expanding aggressively in Thailand and Asia Pacific region. They are now looking for a Category Manager for Personal Care.
  • Develop and implement a strategy to drive year round business for all products in category.
  • Work closely with the sales team to develop the brand within the major multiples ( as a regional player) and in executing strategic priorities with retailers
  • Identify and execute strategies to maximize channel presence
  • Work closely with marketing team for new product development
  • Increase category market share as well as category revenue growth
  • Improve Brand recognition
  • Increase the number of products in NPD pipeline (New Product Development)
  • Successful launch rates
  • You see the big picture through the necessary details to understand the market dynamics and are a clear communicator.
  • Implement new market segment opportunities and leads the organization through new product Launches.
  • Analyze data and providing direction and strategic insight for the business based on findings
  • Develop short and long term category strategies based on a thorough understanding of markets and trends.
  • Build strong relationships with data agencies delivering maximum value to the business Leading Category range reviews and delivering annual category/brand planning days

Job Requirements

  • Thai Nationality only
  • Male/ Female
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any field.
  • University degree, with marketing specialisation an advantage.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Marketing / Buying/Selling/ Category Management experience with an FMCG or Retail company.
  • Strong experience in Developing and implementing a strategy for all products in category
  • A proven track record in building brands and launching new products.
  • Good communication and written English skills.
  • Basic level of marketing competencies. Some of these are consumer insights, concept development, consumer understanding & market research, advertising & communication, media & communication, packaging development, consumer promotion and project management. The candidate should be able to demonstrate these skills / competencies under guidance depending on years of experience.
  • A team player with strong inter-personal skills. Experienced working in Dynamics evironment.
  • Be extremely hands-on and self-motivated as the role will be very autonomous
  • Have the ability the understand the impact of the retail environment on shopper behavior and provide training on data systems for the marketing team
